Cathy Wright, J.D, is a management consultant with thirty years experience in the corporate world. A founding partner of Maynard, Cooper & Gale, she represented major corporations in complex litigation.

She is an experienced mediator and has taught mediation, negotiation and communication, including as an Adjunct Professor of Law. She is a graduate of Leadership Alabama and Leadership Birmingham; a Fellow of the American and Alabama Bar Associations and on the board of numerous organizations including the Alabama Office of Women’s Health and the Center for Law and Civic Education.

She is President of The Alabama Women’s Initiative, and a principal author of A Report on the Status of Leadership in Alabama. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of University of Alabama School of Law. Following law school, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Frank Johnson, Jr.
