Linda Berger
Linda Berger joined Mercer University School of Law as a professor in July 2008. Previously, she taught legal writing, legal rhetoric, and First Amendment and media law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego.
Professor Berger is a founder and the current editor of the peer-reviewed Journal of the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD); she also serves as a member of the national boards of directors of ALWD and the Legal Writing Institute. Professor Berger’s research and writing focuses on legal composition, legal rhetoric, metaphor theory, and emerging First Amendment and media law.
After graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Professor Berger practiced law with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where she specialized in First Amendment litigation and media defense.
