Experience:
Cathy Wright, J.D., is an attorney and business consultant with nearly thirty years’ experience in the corporate world. As an av rated litigator, she represented major corporations in litigation and has extensive training and experience as a mediator. She was a founding partner of Maynard, Cooper & Gale in Birmingham, Alabama and is a Fellow of both the American and Alabama Bar Associations.

As a founder of Clarus Consulting Group, she uses her experience to assist organizations with a wide range of strategic and management issues from organizational analysis, infrastructure design and strategic planning to communication and leadership training, conflict resolution, and diversity and cultural competence. She is a frequent speaker on topics ranging from conflict resolution and communications skills to gender and diversity.

She teaches Conflict Resolution including mediation, negotiation, and communication skills in a number of business, professional and law school settings. Ms. Wright possesses an uncanny ability to work with leaders to clarify the organization’s mission and resolve conflicts, and to offer penetrating insights into the alignment of the structure and tactics with the organization’s mission. Through this process, she is able to help identify gaps and realign the organization so that it moves toward internal integrity and a richer concept of its potential.

She has worked with many business executives to achieve more effective outcomes and a higher level of leadership. She is the creator of Clear Management, a structured, foundational program that teaches managers at all levels critical management skills in a hands-on, interactive system that has supported organizations in attaining measurable operational improvements. She also is creator of StrongGirls, an innovative program for girls in the juvenile justice system that has dramatically reduced recidivism, and principal author of an internationally recognized study of women and leadership.

She is a certified Enneagram teacher and coach. Ms. Wright holds a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, and a number of certifications as a mediator. Following law school she was law clerk to the Honorable Frank M. Johnson, Jr.
